The Plan of Salvation
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."
Acts 2:38-39 (KJV)
Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is the revelation of the mystery spoken by Lord Jesus in Matthew 28:18-19 (KJV)…
"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost…"
Jesus is the One name which encompasses the the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In Acts 4:12 (KJV), the Apostle Peter spoke about the name Jesus Christ of Nazareth...
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
The Apostle Paul also supported this revelation in Colossians 2:9-10 (KJV)…
"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power…"
Spirit-Led
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."
Romans 8:14-17 (KJV)
Receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit is just the start. We must then continuously ask our Heavenly Father what to do through Jesus, and obey the voice of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 2:18 (KJV) says…
"For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father."
To hear the voice of the Spirit, and thereby know the will of the Father, we must turn our lives over to Him. Romans 12:1-2 (KJV) says…
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
Fear of the Lord
"In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children will have a place of refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death."
Proverbs 14:26-27 (NKJV)
The Fear of the Lord is choosing our Heavenly Father's will over everything (and everyone) else. Lord Jesus' own brothers did not support Him. Look how He handled it in Matthew 12:46-50 (NKJV)…
"While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. Then one said to Him, 'Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.' But He answered and said to the one who told Him, 'Who is My mother and who are My brothers?' And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, 'Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.'"
All of us will face situations where we must choose between pleasing people or pleasing our Heavenly Father. Lord Jesus was clear…
"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
Matthew 10:28 (NKJV)
